• START recording your time spent reading or being read to on Tuesday, June 26. Pick a prize from the prize and book box when you register. Good Luck!

  • Use the weekly calendar on the inside of the log to record your time spent reading or being read to. When you read 1 hour, write an X. When you read a half hour, write a /. It's so easy! If you read an hour and a half, write an X/.
  • BRING YOUR READING LOG WITH YOU WHEN YOU VISIT THE LIBRARY. The Librarian in the Youth Department will check your time spent reading and award a LIBRARIES ROCK raffle cards for every THREE hours you read. Look to see which prize you'd like to win in the glass case, fill out the raffle card and place it in the raffle box. Read SIX hours, and take one more prize and you have completed the Program! But keep reading to enter more raffles! Raffle prizes will be on display by mid-July.
  • There is a limit of 3 hours of reading credit per day. (if you read more, that's great, but we capped it at 3 hours to encourage you to participate in a variety of activities this summer.
  • You must read or be read to at least SIX hours to complete the program. Once you've done this, you will receive a LIBRARIES ROCK Surprise Card. Put that card in the SURPRISE PRIZE raffle box only. This is the ONE time you can win more than on raffle prize. You can win the SURPRISE PRIZE and a prize from one of the other raffle boxes too!
  • Summer reading logs stop on Sunday, August 5,. Logs will be accepted until Monday, August 13 - so get your tickets in BEFORE August 14!
  • Attend all or some of our special Summer Reading Events. Check out the dates and times on your Summer Reading Log.

  • Thursday, June 28 - Learn to Play the Ukelele with Julie Stepanek. 3-4 pm (Ages 7 & up).®

  • Thursday, July 5 - Nature Walk with Brittany Gutermuth! Learn about the partk in our backyard, rain or shine 4 pm (Families) ®

  • Wednesday, July 18 - Dog Story Hour with Robert, Johanna and Kiefer 11 am (Ages pre-k-7).
  • Thursday, July 19 - Maker Space: Create a LIGHTED Greeting Card! Part 1 with Michael Fredette 6-7:30 pm (Ages 7 & up) ®

  • Wednesday, August 1 - Summer Sewing School! Learn basic sewing machine skills and go home with a rockin' Bandana Bag! With Becky Nimmons 2-4 pm (Ages 8 & up) ®
  • Thursday, August 2 - Tunnel Books! Explore your tunnel vision with Lois Peirent. 4:30-6 pm (Ages 5 & up) ®
